Reports from 1up.com say that the PS3 could be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.

Several reports have speculated that Sony plans to show off the PS3 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, 2006, mostly based on the fact that the company has booked a large central space in the convention center. According to European press Sony plans to build a giant platform on which to showcase the PS3.

After the Xbox360 hype before Christmas will this take the shine off the MS console? Only time will tell, one thing is for sure though its good news for consumers if its true.
