Brothers in Arms  by Shane L at 07:18

Brothers in Arms As reported earlier on in the week BiA has been delayed until spring 2005, but news is filtering through on the MP side of the game..
The interesting twist on the multiplayer game is that rather than playing either as part of or as leader of your mates' squad, each player commands their own mini-team of soldiers. This ensures that the whole leadership aspect from the single-player game remains intact, and allows you to execute more cunning and complex strategies of surrounding and suppressing, which can then be combined with similarly like-minded manoeuvres with your teammate.
For example, you might want to play the part of the 'fire' team and position your troops in well-covered farmland territory. As soon as the enemy approaches, they'll instinctively attempt to hold them back (the AI is very sophisticated and each soldier behaves with remarkable intelligence).
Certainly a different slant on an MP FPS.

Hmm, sounds odd.
