Carrying on with the driving theme for the moment, Namco have announced that RR6 has gone gold and is expected to ship across North America 17th November, a European date has not been officially announced yet but expect a christmas launch.

Features in Ridge Racer 6 include multiplayer action for up to 14 players via Microsoft's Xbox Live service, access to over 130 tunable cars, the ability to unlock new cars / prizes / tracks, and an evolved nitrous system that features a special Nitrous Gauge "for even more explosive double and triple boosts of speed." Going back to the online gameplay for a second, players will be able to choose from a variety of modes including the Online Battle Mode and the Spectator Mode, as well as show off their best times in the game's Global Time Attack Mode to other players scattered throughout the world.
