Battlefield 2 Logo EA.com has a Battlefield 2: Modern Combat tournament on the go at the moment, the tournament which is sponsored by Gamespy and EA is on the Playstation2 and Xbox with $250,000 as the first prize, and no that isnt a typo that is a cool 1/4 of a million dollars. for more information you can either visit the above link or go to the official tournament page which is located over at Gamespy.

bf2 has a big standing in the pc market, perhaps it doesn't in the console market (it stinks) so this is a way to make 2million ppl buy it to practice to win that prize...

Aye its a gamble but me thinks it will get some attention & TBH wer dont know what $250k will get you in the way of advertising these days , bet its not much at a global level :-)
