Doom3 Benchmarks at [H]ardOCP  by Craig D at 00:57

PC
There's a very interesting Doom 3 performance article over at [H]ardOCP.

I won't spoil it too much by posting any figures here, suffice to say, the engine appears to be impressively quick considering it's features.

As John Carmack said of DOOM 3 in our introduction, "all of the modern cards play the game very well." The NVIDIA 6800Ultra and 6800GT video cards along with the Radeon X800XT-PE are going to be stellar DOOM 3 performers probably giving the gamer better Image Quality and framerate performance than we ever thought would be possible at the launch of DOOM 3.

Makes the nVidia cards look like the perfect doom3 choice, it will be interesting to see this sort of thing for hl2.

Indeed it will Mani.
I've only recently been converted over to ATI. Why they have to make it so confusing for us simple souls

It's weird, I wouldn't think of buying a Sony DVD Player as "moving over to Sony" - but for some reason many of us seem to hold this partisanship over video cards. I do it too! Do you think it's because we get used to the driver update procedure?

Probably just because of the sheer number of video card fanboys that exists, you sorta feel you have join one camp or the other.
