ATI today launched it's new series of graphics cards, the X1000 series, this includes the mainstream X1300, the mid-range X1600 and the high end X1800. The daddy card will no doubt be the X1800XT but that will apparently not be available until mid November.
General impressions seem to be that the X1800XT is a little better than nVidia's 7800GTX in DirectX but not quite as good in OpenGL, sounds familiar. Still, at least it's good for competition and therefore prices if ATI are back in the game.
Here's some reviews to sink your teeth into, [H]ard|OCP, Anandtech and The Tech Report
