Following our preview of Doom 3 last week the guys over on www.ampednews.com have done a brief history of the Doom trilogy and what to expect multiplayer wise in the latest installment, its quite a good read if a little short but head over to the full article to find out more.

Valve boss Gabe Newell has been speaking on the HL2Fallout forums and revealing what system specs are going to be required to run Half-Life 2.
Newell said that the minimum spec would be a 1.2GHz powered PC with 256MB RAM, Win 98/ME/2000/XP and a DirectX 7 compatible graphics card."

MOH : Pacific Assault is expecting to release a playable demo in the next two week's, although rumours are sketchy stay tuned for more news as it happens.

World of Warcraft have released an update patch, weighing in at 190 mb and improves how the game looks and adds three new much-needed elements to the game.
One of these and the most significant one, is the addition of the 'Talent' system. This is similar to the branching talent tree used in the Diablo games. Players get one talent point each time they level up and these can be invested in an ability that will enhance an existing power or skill

I read the HL2 Fallout thingy, and I have to shout a very loud "Bull-switch!" on the minimum specs. I know the guy knows his own game and all, but at the res and detail you'd have to be running at to get 40fps+, you might as well play more HL mods. Just my opinion!

heh I think the original HL specs were very low but nowadays you need a super computer to run the mods.

maybe add a news link that the WoW europe closed beta sign ups are live, since 5th July, or has it already been posted? anyway ive signed up!

Yea was posted end of june and sign ups went live 05/07 for 3 weeks
