Playstation 1 is 10 Years Old  by Shane L at 22:55

Playstation
Playstation On Friday the Sony Playstation 1 will be 10 years old, I can still remember my brother going to the local Sony shop in town paying £399.00 british pounds and getting destruction Derby at the same time, thought it was the best thing i had ever seen at the time.

Anyway, enough of nostalgia, 1up.com has a nice article online for your reading pleasure..

this Friday marks the 10th birthday of everyone's favorite 32-bit system, the Sony PlayStation. It's hard to believe that it's been a full decade since the PS1 came along and launched Sony to the pinnacle of success. But here we are, downshifting our Emotion Engines as we cruise into the twilight days of the system's successor, making way for the PS1's Cell-powered grandchild.

Anybody out there got any views on there old PS1? I still think Metal Gear Solid and Destruction Derby were the dog's nad's at the time and still do.

MGS 1 was a wicked game, i played it constant when i got it.

DD was such fun at the time aswell, and C&C had me hooked for ages.

Destruction Derby was crap imho, miles better on the PC but still crap. C&C was PC all the way, all RTS's need a mouse imho.
