Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000  by Craig D at 16:14

PC
Microsoft today announced their latest gaming mouse, the Laser Mouse 6000. This is a wired USB mouse with laser tracking, in my opinion the perfect feature set for a gaming mouse.

"We heard from gamers that they wanted a mouse designed specifically for their PC gaming needs, equipped with features and functionality that will optimize their gameplay," said Tom Gibbons, general manager of the Hardware Group at Microsoft. "We are now excited to say that we have answered that request with a perfect PC gaming solution: Laser Mouse 6000. Equipped with a thin, flexible cord for the feeling of wireless, gaming-specific software features, advanced laser technology and more, Laser Mouse 6000 will take gaming to a whole new level."

I don't have a UK price, but the mouse will be available in the USA this October for $54.95, so approximatley £30-35?

Looks very much like an intelli mouse explorer v3 but with a tilt capable wheel. I'm due a new mouse and this is top of the shopping list.

The Silly IT girl here bought me a v4 as I moaned that I had to pay for my v3 with my own money. The v4 I find feels a lot cheaper and less well made. Also the 4 direction scroll wheel feels nasty and slow. I really am converted to logitech for gaming mice. Still got my old MX500 thats doing me proud. Though will be very tempted to try a wired Laser mouse. Never got on with the MX1000.
