Both the inquirer and the register are reporting about an Essex man who walked into a trading standards office and tried to sell them counterfeit DVD's.

Apparently, the geezer had missed a sign on the office, and so asked if anyone would like to buy some pirated films. Staff at the office told him they were very interested in what was on offer, however, when he twigged he made a run for it, leaving behind his DVD and £210.

That's almost as stupid as trying to sell a Policeman drugs.
