EA have announced that Battlefield 2 has hit worldwide sales of 1.2 million copies.

"The Battlefield franchise has proven to be a phenomenal hit with audiences worldwide," said Jonathan Bunney, Vice President Product Marketing at EA Europe. "As the sequel to one of the best loved PC action games of all time, Battlefield 2 was one of the most anticipated games of the year. Even in the face of high expectations, the game delivered on the promise of the series and raises the quality bar for future titles in the category."

That's 600 thousand plane campers and 599,999 Blackhawk whores and er.. me. Of course, I'd never do anything like that, *cough*.
