Stargate-SG1 game fails to meet expectations  by James W at 10:41

PC
Well it seems Perception, the Australian developers of Stargate-SG1: The Alliance have failed to impress JoWood with their game adapation of the popular TV series.

"The title in its current form, initially scheduled for an October 2005 release, does satisfy neither our quality requirements nor the fans expectations. We will not release anything that does not do justice to this well known license" says Albert Seidl, CEO JoWooD Productions Software AG. "In recent months we have invested a lot of time and resources in helping Perception finish the development, but we now simply have lost confidence in their ability to finish this project in time and sufficient quality."

There is hope for this title however, Michael Paeck, Executive Producer for JoWooD still expects the source code as part of their contract and will be reviewing the posssibiliy of finishing the title with a new developer. He also mentions his interest in bring the title to the next-gen consoles.
