Browsers and Security, again.  by Craig D at 14:51

According to an article on the inquirer, the US Government warns against Internet Explorer. Not good.
THE US GOVERNMENT has sent out a warning out to internet users through its Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), pleading users to stop using Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

For those still considering the alternatives, Jim has published an article about Mozilla Firefox, it might just make up your mind for you.

I refuse to make any more comments about IE, it's been said a thousand times by many, more qualified people than me, suffice to say, browsing the Internet with IE is like playing Russian Roulette.

**Update**

Check out this article at Business Week Online, What's the New IE Flaw All About?.
The underlying flaw in IE, one that allows Web sites to trick the browser into trusting them, has been around in one form or another for at least four years and has defied numerous patches designed to repair it.

Service Pack 2 adds some sucurity features, but that will not help. It's underlying design is quite simply, fataly flawed.

A web browser should never have the ability to interact with the Operating System, it's just crazy and clearly an open wound for hackers to attack.
