Well I posted what appeared to be a server fix before going to bed last night, I awake this morning and topic of the day seems to be reinstall BF2 to get rid of the patch.

Your emails found their way to our production team and they're in the process of evaluating what needs to be done in order to get this fixed. In the meantime, and since the 1.01 update is causing memory leakage on some systems, we recommend that you reinstall the game and NOT the v1.01 update we released earlier this week.

I have noticed already a lot of servers have already rolled back so I guess its a case of having to roll back rather than waiting for a fix. Apparently all score will not be affected and any medals won will not be lost. www.eagames.com
