Battlefield 2 Patch Today  by Craig D at 14:23

Wolfgaming is reporting that the first Battlefield 2 patch, 1.01, will be available today. Some time this evening. Yes I did originally say tomorrow, but I didn't read the time of their article!

The new Linux server and Windows servers will also be available. The Client patch weighs in at just over 13 Megs. While the server files are complete re-installs. The server software is the major part of this release. Netcode is a big piece of this for the Ranked and UnRanked Servers.

Better head on over there for a full list of fixes, but yes, the server browser hanging is in the list.

On a side note, the dedicated server files have already been released.

** Update **
Client patch is now available too, all 13.3mb of it, 3dGamers, Fileshack and GamersHell.

Really impressed with the speed that this patch was released, good work DiCE.

Now all we need is more ranked server's, a favorites list and.........

and hopefully it will be followed shortly by a PB patch lol especially since there are several aimbots/wallhack ive seen people using... PB screenshots 4win

Well I can confirm it runs, and that the browser doesn't feel quite so crap.

Couple more search options etc on the browser. Still seems bugged to crap though. I do a flat search for med and large games, get 600+ servers, pings 0 for like 50 and then 150 - 2500 haha. THEN if I do a search for Internode, I get all the 50-80 ping servers etc. Fark nose...
