More Battlefield 2 news, and this time thanks to Bluesnews for the heads up on this snippet of imformation, BFnation has a nice little article online which allows you to view your stats without having to use the ingame BFHQ.
Have you ever wanted to quickly compare scores with a buddy, without using the clunky BFHQ inteface? Well now you can thanks to BFN Forums member, "KuranesGrey". He's created a CGI proof-of-concept script allowing you to access your Ranked data through a webbrowser. Not only that, but the source has been released publically under the MIT license, allowing creative members of the community to build their own tools based on it.
What the tool does, is it creates a number of possibilities; communities could run their own internal leaderboards, all sorts of statistical analysis, such as making purdy graphs, could be performed or at the simplest level you can prove that you have a higher score than that foo' on IRC. Hopefully EA will realise that this is very much a beneficial thing for the community, improving on the current ranking system.
