Looking ahead to WinXP SP2  by James W at 14:42

It's been dragging on for sometime now, getting delayed several times, however Service Pack 2 for Windows XP is going to be one of the biggest updates for Windows in some time. For the first time Microsoft is adding new features to Windows in a Service Pack, rather than just fixing bugs. We know MS are taking big steps to (finally) secure Windows XP better but what steps are they taking? iamnotageek.com have a new review up looking at the SP2 release of the service pack. Key areas include advancements in Windows Update and Windows Firewall, memory protection and Internet Explorer updates.

That's probably as difficult a question to answer as "When is half-life2 out"

It was ment to come out like now, end of June, but it got delayed again. Some sites said it wont be due till the end of the year now or 2005 but I dont remember seeing anything solid yet.

"crappy xp" <- absolute nonsense IMO, but then I don't know what particular part of XP you're talking about, or for whom. For me personally, XP is easily the most convenient and best OS.
