PC Gaming Dieing?  by Shane L at 23:10

PC
Slashdot has a controversial article online about how the next generation of consoles could finally kill off PC gaming.

CNET is predicting that next-generation consoles will drive the final nails into the already half-closed coffin of mainstream PC gaming.

A read that actually kept my attention for once, could it really be so?

Slowly I'd agree, XBox live started the rot. However there are a few types of game that simply do NOT work on consoles becuase the controllers are stupid, fps's being the main one.

Any half decent player with a mouse will obliterate even the world champ with a gay console controller.

They will, and PS3 might kill off PC because it has keyboard and mouse support... But as for online games... yeah consoles support online games but they're still nowhere near the level of PC, it's just so much easier with PC.

PC's are needed to browse the internet generally, so its just as convinient to game on PC as consoles. What most PC gamers dont like about consoles is there limits, so i cant see them leaving in massive droves anytime soon.
