Almost morning news  by James W at 12:20

There is a new interview with Epic's Tim Sweeney on the topic of Unreal Engine3. Some will remember around the time we saw the UE2 video there was an interview where some jaw dropping hardware requirments were discussed for this engine. This new interview covers some similar ground, looking at hardware and software technology going into this next gen engine. All I can say is thank god we've got till 2006 to save up our pennies. Though without doubt it will be worth it, and its interesting to see what we can expect from future games.

The Inquirer reports that Microsoft could be looking to sponsor the Toyota Formula 1 team. As a F1 fan myself this sounds like interesting news. Microsoft is not exactly an unknown brand so quite what product MS will be promoting through this deal remains to be seen. The Inquirer mentions a sponsoring sum of $40 million. In the world of Formula 1 this is not a huge amount, although Toyota, who are one of the 'best of the rest' teams could find this boost enough to nip the heels of the big boys.

Then finally in a quick fire news posting stylii, PS2 fans will want to check out some new screenshots of Tekken 5. Shacknews hint at the possibilty of the Half-Life2 release creeping into August rather than the antispated September 30th. Richard Burns Rally is set for release soon, whether it can de-throne Colin Mcrae 4 as the king of rally games will be tough. Lastly FoxTrot on the Doom3 release date.

I'll want to give Richard Burns Rally a try though, I completed almost everything you can complete on CMR so would be nice to have something else to move on to.
