Suburbanwarfare has a nice little preview up on its site going over the basic's and the gameplay of Battlefield 2, also there is a nice little video in there aswell which is worth a download.

Action on foot is fast and intense on the map known as Strike at Karkand. There are plenty of places to hide, hit, and move in the streets of Karkand, as there are what seem to be countless alleys and urban subdivisions. Both infantry and armor will fall victim to fire squads setting up ambushes in one of many possible positions. You will find yourself treading quite lightly when advancing through the town, I learned to do so.
