PC
warp2search.net reports that Game UK has updated there release date for Doom3, now penciled in for 6th August. This puts it less than 2 months away, lets hope the date sticks. Looking over at Game.net its also quite reasonable £24.99, click here for more info.

This is ridiculous - every other day there's a new release date that someone manages to get from a retailer. I imagine the truth is that no-one knows and they're just bullshitting. Why send the email confirming a new release date in the first place? **** knows - maybe they originally had a date of June 9th and didn't want to piss off their customers. Maybe when the 5th August rolls around they'll be sending everyone another email saying "10 October".

Hype reasons im thinking, but on another note anti-climax is screaming out.

True, though any game that gets loads of hype never lives up to it, so you just gotta take the game for what it is.. I'd be suprised if its actually bad

Soz Felon, didn't mean to make it sound like I was having a dig at you personally I'm not angry at all - certainly not with id - I'm a little bit narked by the retailers for not sticking with the developers timescales of "It's ready when it's ready". It's just bad for consumers to toss them around like this. IMO, of course

Drinking? At 15:32 in the afternoon? With my reputation? Never!

But yes. Clearly I'm a wine-drinkin' fast-livin' hobo.
