Joint Operations goes gold  by James W at 15:59

joint ops The hot new military shooter Joint Operations has gone Gold and is pegged for release on June 16th. For those not following this game, what makes this game exciting is not only the great graphics but the scale of the multipler, no longer are we limited to 32man or 64man servers but well into the hundreds, all battleing it out on the same terrain. Novalogic, well known for their Delta Force series, have clearly aimed this at the battlefield crowd, and war FPS scene in general. NovaWorld are hosting servers holding 150 players, and with news of them testing up to 250 players its quite likely we'll see largers servers in the future.

However with so many multi-player FPS games and military/war themed titles in general it remains to be seen how this one will shape up.

novalogic.com - Set in Indonesia in the near future, Joint Ops is the largest multiplayer Modern Combat FPS game ever released. Developed using NovaLogic's enhanced Black HawkTM engine, with superior multiplayer technology, Joint Ops lets gamers play 150 player games across vast terrains online over NovaWorld.

In Joint Ops gamers will join the ferocious struggle between Joint Operations Forces and Indonesian Rebels, where team work is essential for survival and ultimate victory!
You can see the full change long here, and for general information here are some screenshots and one of the preview articles. A demo was released early last month which you can grab here.
