If we were tio run a few competitions, what prizes would people like, now be serious, I'm talking about spending our affiliate commissions and such like on prizes for our members, so it's likely to be things like, games, cd's, dvd's, gift vouchers or 'other'
Express your preferences here.

Rocky Box set DVD  CD = Album of your choice (coz every1 has different tastes  ) Games.. err CoD:UO ... Not enough of us have it (including me, lol) umm David Gemmel books!  Amazon gift vouchers would be pretty cool actually... hmm cant think of much more Petrol Radio Controlled Car? (random, i dunno )

Not gaming comps, just competitions in general.
ie, be a member and answer an easy question, get drawn out of hat = winner.

How long would competition go on for?
Would open-ended vouchers (as opposed to winning a specific game, for example) possibly attract leeches, and not people interested in games/gaming?
Re: Getting people to register - Is this so you have an email address for newsletters, or to encourage posting + discussion? Cos I can't see it encouraging people to enter into discussions.

I agree Kendo, 120 or so regged, and less than 10 that actually post on the forum. Half the COD team dont even bother with the forum, so its going to have to be something that encourages the growth of the community rather than just getting people to register.
Im pretty sure Resetter died sitting at his PC months ago, the milk is probably getting stacked outside his house as we speak.

Sounds like a good idea... maby we should advertise the community " speek to the rebelz, newbiesinc and d-b guy's stuff like that (i.e. exchange site links) " some other stuff like becoming more active as a gaming clan might help too also if possable why not have a small games section with some java games... thats bound to attract some people
