Hey guys, been playing bf2 and got the bug again. Whatever they did to make everyone hate it, they seem to have undone.
If people are interested it might be fun getting a game going, let me know.

love to, but punkbuster doesn't work on Windows 7 yet  BF1943* will be out later summer too, be goo to get some bf2 in as practice * please tell me you'll wait and get the PC version.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

PC only for me (i lost my ps3 controller on the motorbike  (fell out of my pocket :/)) As for BF2, sure if mine still works

too many hours spent playing rpg's seem to have dulled my knack for shooting people, got such a terrible aim they need to add more medals for getting shot in the face repeatedly, then at least i wouldn't feel so bad since i get something out of it

They sorta do, 'purple hearts' you only get one if you've been 0wned big time

have tried all those fixes with bf2142, none work.
Looks like bf2 'might' work though after the last PB update in March. Will try it later.

I had loads of issues with 2142 - i had to complain to EA because their downloader wouldent work on vista for about 9months (well wouldent validate my game).
Newho updating BF2 for now

the fix for bf2 works in Windows 7 x64
Once installed and patched to 1.41, download and run pbsetup from evenbalance.com and manually update PB with it, then bf2 seems to work nicely.

WHRHF I have to reinstall BF2 now because i patched to 1.5Beta2 and everyone is on 1.41 >.<
Where the heck are My DVD's when i need them! (meh got fed up of looking and ordered from Play.Com £9.99 for the lot not bad)

apparently 1.5beta is still really flaky, and PB doesn't work with it on windows 7 too.
