Hmm, if your dead set on doing Microsoft certification, be careful which areas you specialise in (you used to have to do a several of a number of possible areas, e.g. IP)

I did the first 2 exams, both were pretty easy. Makes me a MSP for having done at least one exam. I havn't done any more for years now as I don't really need to but might get back to it some day. What did you actually want to know?

Well I kind of wanted to know what the best things to take were. Like Craig said there's area's to specialise in and I believe you have to take 5 or something to get the full MCSE / MCSA and they cover a wide area of different things.

I'd say given the way IT is going, you simply MUST do I.P. (Assuming it's still one of the core subjects)

I don't have the 2008 exams list but on the 2003 after the core exams it was pretty much a choice of ISA, SQL, Exchange, AD and a security based one. I don't which would be best employment-wise but I think it comes down to what you want to get into. Knowing AD is obviously a biggy in the MS networking world, but if you already have good experience with it already then Exchange and ISA servers would be useful.

Ip is a module, but i think its actually built in with one or more of the others now.

I've just started studying the compTIA+ networking course with the homelearningcollege.com. The microsoft courses were a bit too expensive atm.
