Yer saw it, th I prefer HD-DVD for many reason and now it's actually bigger than blu-ray as well.

So um, disk can carry a std dvd layer and work in normal dvd players, now is bigger, uses a MUCH better compression algorithm and has nothing to do with Sony and their idiotic, fascist anti-consumer DRM infestations , bonus.

=D

I can see the future-

Sony - "Blue ray is liek better cos its liek BLUE RAY N IT has our shidazzle n is liek pewpew hax0r pr00f."
5yr old kid - "I hacked your DRM protection using notepad and im 5" *kicks sony in nuts* - *walks away laughing*

Nah, Seriously - HD-DVD is soo much better simply because sony have nothing to do with it.

Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

Sadly the trouble is that sony own alot of the companies that make DVDS and films, thus some films may never show up on hd-dvd.

Funnly enough I was going to mention about this in my post. I want to be able to watch what I want on my format, not what some head of sony says is moraly acceptable.

DId you note the costs of duplication etc too?

Very cheap to make hd-dvd'd costs millions to setup blu-ray production lines, big nail in the coffin that.
