Im trying to back up dvds
Ive had no problems doing some but for some reason my dvd drive has decided to play up and i dont know why?
when i put a blank dvd in the drive it comes up as a cd not dvd?
any ideas as i have now come to a dead end?

Can you give us a bit more info. what program are you using, where does it say its a cd (windows,nero,ect) what dvds are you trying. the more the beter

its more likely that he is trying to do it via nero, but has nero set to cds instead of blank dvds.

There's a great little free program that I use for bruning audio/Data/CD/DVDs called Burn at Once.
