checking it out now, sounds awesome (positionable audio)
--- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMfF36NvoJc&feature=related Simple video that shows the latencey difference between different clients (vent/ts/mumble)
--- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOQEbXNy5pI&feature=related Video of some BF2 PR mod footage using mumble, thankifully the user uploaded in stereo so you can hear the left/right and distance too.
Timecode 2:10 - is a good example of this you can hear it switching sides and fading/getting louder with distance

Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

We tried it out earlier in wow but it might only work if your in party?? as it made no difference when we moved about in one of the cities... I've checked out a fair bit of info and mines configured and works fine in CS:S (everyone else has gone to bed so I was forced to find someone to test it with). I'm gonna nag Mid/Bri/Decypher etc to try it out in TF2 later today (Since its 2:30am) (probably fraps it too for a larf) When someone codes a plugin to support BFBC2 its going to be awesome imo.

If you've got 5.1 headphones or speakers then i can see it being awesome. If not, ventrilo is much better since it requires little to no setup unlike mumble.

I've used Mumble in matches, it's great.. literally near real time comms and often better clarity I think. I think the positional stuff is a little pointless and apparently doesn't work right in some games.
