There will be a torny mode (from HD remix) included in the next update so that should make things interesting. Although I hated HD Remix, the torny mode was a fantastic feature.

is there any way to turn the 'auto-challenge' thing off once your set it on. its kinda cool playing online games during arcade mode but now its getting annoying, was just about to beat C Viper and it took me away from it.

No, you're right. Arcade mode IS hard. I'm quite confused really... one of the big points in SF4 was to get old players _and_ new players into Street Fighter. They seemed to forget this when doing the AI, as it doesn't seem to have any kind of difficulty curve at all. It seems to be a little random, and most of the time utterly cheap and ruthless. It's a shame that you have to finish Arcade mode in order to unlock characters (always felt unnecessary to me), as the AI is actually enough to put some players off of the game. Anyway, Stan. Seeing as you're a beginner, it's best to go into challenge mode first and select trial normal and then easy. Pick a character you like and learn about their combos and specials. It'll teach you pretty much everything you need to know. You'll be surprised with how much depth is in it when you get better at it. It's not a quick process though.

Tip: Set the round limit to 1 and the time limit to 00, also the difficulty to easy. This'll make things much easier. Characters unlock fine in easy mode too so there's really no reason to go above that.
Also, if you happen to come across Zangief or Abel AI, reset and do it again or you'll just wake up an hour later with blood everywhere, wondering who you stabbed to death. ¬_¬

Yeah, I keep it on easy. It's just Seth I have trouble with as the Seth AI is the same for both easy and normal.

Unlocking Akuma is pretty easy, use M.Bison and just Down + FK to do his slide thing spam. Unlocking Gouken on the other hand can be abit of a nightmare, in the end I had to use Akuma as his is the only ultra I can pull off more than one out of 10 attempts at it.

Not really thought of using Bison. I'm completely useless with charge characters though...

Yes, I don't have a problem with the fights leading up to Seth, I can pretty much perfect all of them now. Seth is a different story. Poogs method does not work for me. Seths difficulty is the same for both easy and normal.

I just can't seem to get into this, the learning curve is to steep for new players and I have lost count of the amount of times I have pressed the trigger on the ps3 pad for my character to just stand there like a idiot.

xbox360 perhaps ?, I have had a few mates lose their saves on that, though most of the time it doesnt just happen for one game, it corrupts every save game.
