Ken at the moment, i usually play as akuma but i looked how to unlock him and it will take a while. I might start with Sagat though

Think I'll mostly be playing as Ken, Sakura and Abel. I'll keep Ryu as my "safe" character.

I unlocked Akuma and Gouken today, the one time i pld Abel (to unlock a char) he seemd abit clunky to me, not my playstyle I like rangey.

Akuma is pretty obscenely good, I'm still pretty terrible though pulling off moves with the 360 analog stick is a nightmare. I had to use Akuma for the gouken unlock (no continues, 2 perfects and 3 ultra finishers) as his ultra is just LP, LP, Back, LK, FP the rest are too movement heavy for the shitty analog stick

i rented this game, glad i didnt buy it, it really is the same old SF2 with new gfx, feels very old gameplay and spolit what i remember of street fighter

It's the old SF2 with a lot more depth. There's way more to combo's and stuff than before. BTW anyone played the SF2 Turbo HD remix from the US store ? It looks awesome, completely redone graphics and balanced moves.

That's singleplayer. There's always been a way to do one move constantly in fighting games to beat the AI. Who cares about single player ?

Single player in a beat em up is all about finding the AIs weakness and exploiting it. Unless we come up with real AI, that's probably never going to change... they're all the same.

Anyway, buying Street Fighter for single player is like buying GTA IV for bowling or paying £30 to play CS offline with bots. IMO, it's good that the gameplay is old too, it's what Capcom are great at. If they change how it works, it will not be Street Fighter anymore and that's why Third Strike was not well received. This is what Street Fighter is, this is how it should work.

I've got nearly 1000 points online now but I cant seem to beat any competent player who uses charge characters
