I was in bed last night in lots of pain trying to think of things to take my mind off it. When it come to me, how many sequals can you name that are better than the original.
Here are a few i thougt up last night
Godfather part 2
Aliens [although its a different kinda film]
Terminator 2

Empire strikes back !!!!!!
Better in every way to a new hope !

The delta appears to be accurate for the prequels too, they get steadily worse the futher back in time they go.

Which obviouslt means that the new movies get better as they go on, but as still nowhere near as good as the 1st 'real' Star Wars movie.

Police Academy 7... Only joking

Dunno if this counts but the 3rd matrix was better than the second, which inturn both were ruled by the first? hmm that doesnt work actually...

I can't really think of any really, pretty standard: Sequel = Not as good as the original. Pretty good rule of thumb

The lord of the rings: two towers better then fellowship, and then ROTK better then TT.

i dunno about that abs, i love fotr the most of the 3. But i did watch that before i read the books then i read the books before i watched the other 2 parts so imo they dont come close to the books or the first part. I just love the feel of felowship, the colours it uses everything. I was Bitterly let down by two towers, just not a patch on the book and a few dodgy parts to the film tbh, aragorn was meant to hold up his sword in two towers and make this powerful speach about how the orcs may take helms deep but not before aragorn kills them all. It was a truely moving speach that showed his character coming on that was tottaly left out of the film. I have watched the fellowship far more times than the other 2 put together, but at least these films are personal taste as they r all good. Unlike if say u said avp was better than alien or aliens

leathal weapon 4 is sooooooooooo bad, first is by far and way the best and each one getting worse. No4 is so bad they had to make jet li slow down his fighting cos he was kicking mel gibsons ass, no4 was more like a bunch of old friends getting together than a proper film, lost all the drama and the edge of the first 2 imo.
Batman begins u may have a point but the other batman films did have george clooney and val kilmer in, so not hard to better them.
I hated chronicles of riddick lost all the originalty of pitch black because they had a big budget, just turned into another summer blockbuster that was shite.
I like back to the future 2 but i prefer no1 cos its a classic and the young mum is in back to the future part 1 allot and i fancy her pants off

Can u believe it the old git stopped camping long enough to see some films. I am impressed
