Only been a week and already peoples names popping up for the next Batman. Such as the riddler (and penguin). Also some softer news items about with Angelina Jolie as catwoman (just no). Then again Jim Carrey's name was all over joker after Batman Begins was just released so I doubt any of it matters

If you read the wiki and check out all the character names in the film there's a lot of peoples names that are alias's for villains in the comics apparantly. I've not read that much of the comics to know that much about it but it seems to match quite a few 'oldskool' characters that they could use in the future.

i'd love to see the riddler.
I think V for vendetta stands strong as a good comic book movie. actually stayed true to it for a change.
Been to see the new batman twice already, Heath Ledger is fantastic. Didn't think a lot to the way they portrayed Dent's villian but then again he was used for other things in the film.
Either way, fantastic film, reccomend it to anyone

each to their own, i liked it because it stayed true to the original comics which so few of these films do.

I hated V for Vendetta too, but that was because of the god awful accents and acting, and the fact I didn't give a damn about any of the characters and the action was shite. Still if you are a fan of the comic I can just about see some one enjoying it as my mate did say it stayed relatively close to the comic.

I thought the dark knight lacked quite a few things, Dent's character progression was rushed and I also thought that Heath Ledgers acting wasn't convincing enough. However I did enjoy the film and would probably see it again

mmm, I thought I should be nice because he died and stuff, but there were moments when I just didn't think he was quite good enough.

However I did enjoy the film and would probably see it again i totally agree with you about dent's character. I loved heath ledger as the joker though. and stan, you probably still wouldnt enjoy it, i do agree natalie portman isnt the best actress, but v for vendetta was the main thing i used to read so it was kinda nice to see it relived, maybe why i enjoyed it so much.

Watched this at the weekend. FANTASTIC film and well worth the 5 stars it has been getting.
For me, it's the best film I've seen because I love action films so this rings all my bells. It's as good as it gets for action flicks for me. Fantastic acting, fantastic action and as Mid said, lots of depth and even darker than the first was... I LOVE dark movies and games.
Top marks from me.
Before someone states the obvious... Yes, I know it'd probably not your fav film ever made. Yes, I know I have a different taste in films to you. But if you're a huge Batman fan like me, and a film about something you love is done as well as this... then it's going to have a big impact on you too.
I can't wait until it's out on Blu-ray.

One more thing.
It's good to know that Ldger wasn't bigged up just because of his death. He was absolutely fantastic as the joker and deserves all the credit he got. You really did think he was insane, not just another hollywood actor acting so obviously OTT.

It's probably not my fav film ever made, but it's definitely the best film I've seen since Lord of the Rings first came out. I too can't wait for it on Blueray. The first 6 minutes is on the blueray of Batman Begins and looks stunning quality.
