k, done watching the pilot, looks quite good, although i'm confused to where it stands. Is it meant to replace the original series? i used to watch it, can't rememebr it all, but it's looks like it follows on from it in that all the ships from teh old series are classed as 'old'

No its a remake of the first

but with a more modern apporach i.e. starbuck is female, and the cylons have evolved

i think the old thing is just to give them an excuse to have a throw back to the 80's style techno.

bsg owns just keeps getting better and better imo
