i thought the effects in war of the worlds were stunning but as a film it was deeply flawed, tom cruise cant act and him trying to prove he can just brings you out of the film and makes u want to punch him in the face. As grant said the fact the son survived showed what a load of shite it was, oh and the fact that how ever many million people died from the aliens but tom cruise manages to get away from em what like 5 times ?
Not to mention he is pretty much the only person to bring one down and the fact he notices the shields are down thus allowing the marines to shoot the alien ships down.
I liked the fact that they just tried to run from it instead of being like WE MUST SAVE THE PLANET, but otherwise i really disliked the film.
I would give it 5 out of 10 just for the sfx, i did think the tim robbins character was well creepy though but just a poor film.
I aint even going to comment on stoners best film since xxx2 as what can you say to such a statement.
