Since my PC had a virus i reformated the PC. After doing this i installed all of my graphics drivers and so on, but i have no sound. The computer cannot find the soundcard inside the computer and i have no drivers disc that came with the PC. I do not know what make my soundcard is but i will take the computer apart at the weekend to find out, anyone got any suggestions on a solution.

If you know the make of motherboard and it's model number, the mobo makers web siote WILL have the correct drivers.

Surely if it's XP it has basic native drivers ?

I do have XP and there are some drivers on the PC like Legacy Drivers etc, but they arent actually anything to do with my sound card. Im going to look on my PC makers website, but meh.
