I just installed SP2 this morning and its absolutley knackered my net connection (Currently says im not connected to the internet)
My usb modem had to be re-installed and instead of a red/amber/green thing in the corner i now h ave a"safeley remove hardware" icon... wtf happened? :/

sp2 is a pile of wank. microsoft claimed that it fixed many bugs when accualy it's more likely to have opened about 100% more of them
your problem has happened to about 3people i know and they resolved it by either a reinstall of windows (without sp2) or by switiching to ethernet cables for the modem
you'll probably find that if you use eithernet for your modem you wont have a problem " the only thing i can seguest is either 'reistall windows (without sp2)' or get an eithernet cable for your modem providing you have a spare network cable"

Had nothing but good experience with SP2 myself.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

I'm wondering if SP2 is responsible for my pc crashign randomly but regularly  Might have to do a reinstall.

Its preinstaled windows... I have h4x0r version lying around somewhere tho ^^ Btw... Ethernet cable? what am i supposed to do with that? This PC is network host... modem is usb... er.. ?
