CMOS Checksum error, changed the mobo battery, no luck, PC won't even boot now, guessing the mobo's dead.
Has anyone got an old socket 939 mobo they wanna sell? Needs to support a AMD 64, DDR400 RAM, SATA, and PCI-E.
Cheers.

Have you tried resetting the bios? Usually do it by shorting a couple of pins?

Has anyone got any type of old motherboard/CPU they wanna sell? Trying to get this machine back and running for the cheapest amount possible. Brand new motherboard/CPU/RAM's gonna cost me £120+.
Cheers.

Nope, perhaps it's time to upgrade anyway?

Exactly! Got an e-mail today from Dice saying the beta's coming in September. I had pre-ordered Medal of Honor so apparently that gave me early access to the BF3 beta.

Started ordering my new components...
OEM Windows 7 - Amazon £72 i5 2500K 3.3GHz processor - Novatech £159 Corsair 4GB XMS 1600MHz memory - Ebuyer £30
Now just trying to find a full ATX 1155 motherboard that supports 1600MHz memory, and has IDE connections. All the newer mobo's that support 1600MHz don't have a IDE connector, lol.

You really need IDE?
Given the price I'd also seriously consider 8gb of RAM.

Chose the Asus P8P67 LE motherboard in the end for £105 and took your advice Mani and got some 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz memory for £70.
Going into Novatech tomorrow to pick it up.
Cheers.
