As it says, I need a new router. Mine is old and dying and only 100mbs, Can anyone suggest a new decent one ? It'll need to be 1000mbs and have wifi (doesn't have to be N speeds, it's only used for browsing from an ipad and for mobile phones)
Also I'd like it to have WOL through the internet so I can wake up pc's on the network from work. Currently I'm using neorouter software installed on each pc to be able to do this but if it can be done through a router with no extra software it's a bonus.
If no WOL support then VPN support could do the same thing.
Also I need 4 network ports on the rear.
Does anyone have any suggestions of make or model I should check out ?
Cheers.

I have a d-link dir655 that I'm happy with. Though the admin interface could be better.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/linksys-by-cisco-wag320n-dual-band-wireless-n-adsl2plus-modem-router-with-gigabit From what i remember the dual band on this one is one or the other (might have changed in update) where as the dual band on the router only version was simultaneous if the dual band was of interest. still says * Works in either the 2.4 or 5 gigahertz radio bands again if that is one of the reasons for getting it. might be a bit pricey for what you want but i'd reccomend http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=5266 obviously this isn't dual band either but a nice piece of kit.

Hmm pretty expensive though like you said.
Have either of you used the Tomato or DD-wrt custom router firmwares ?
DD-wrt supports the linksys router you linked Craig.
