I bought an XBox controller for my PC, so that I could play multiplayer. That works fine, but when I put it in, it replaces my keyboard, and I can't find out how to use the two in tandem.
Any ideas?

OR is it that it stops your keyboard working when it's plugged in to a different USB port?

It's not that the keyboard doesn't work, it's more that they are both controller 1, and I can use them both at the same time, for the same player (sorry , didn't make that clear.)

Ok, I'm thinking that you're trying to use the controller as player 1 but someone else on the keyboard as player 2 ?

What Operating System are you using?

Does the control panel for the controller not let you select which controller it should be?

Yep, that's what I'm trying to do.
I'm using Vista
Without the XP controller, it automatically assigns it to keyboard. However, there's no option for this once you plug the Xbox controller in.

Interesting, I've tried connecting my PS3 controller but that doesn't work at all so that's not much help and I got rid of my 360 2 years ago.

Wish I still had it, I'd attach one and see what I could figure out. There's plenty of ppl on here that have a PC and a 360 though.
