Why are you going vista 64 bit and then only 2 gig of ram, you really want 4 gig of ram, but don't do it in 4 lots of 1 gig as that will hamper your overclock. You want two lots of two gig.

Ahh but 3ghz is nothing really for a Overclock and who knows what you might have got with two sticks of ram.

I am going off what my mate says who is a insane overclocker and almost constantly gets at least a extra gig of out his cpu's, and he says four lots of ram seriously hampers the clocking of the fsb. Which is where most of the performance boost comes from.

I believe (from what ive read) different memory has different tolerances, so more sticks increases the chances of problems when o/clocking. Less sticks also stress the memory controller less. Some motherboard are less stable will all slots used too. Again, just what I've picked up from other people, not had any problems myself.

So the hard drive i backed everything up on died. I lost ALL my data.

If its really important data you could try and get the hard drive repaired enough for them to get the most important data back.

Im not bothered about music, its the photo's that annoy me, photo's can't be replaced.

Open a picasa web album account Google ftw. I use that for all my pics.
