go to the movies tab - set it to half-size video - edit whether you want sound or not too. Once it's recorded open up the file in a video editing program (windows movie maker is easier) Then convert it and it should be a tiny tiny size compared to what it was before. But yes Fraps videos are massive if you record something long.

Ah' ok. I'll try that when i get home.

But you see. half-size is the top left corner of the screen wich is kinda anoying when making FPS movies. It kinda makes it impossable! - is there no other way?

some of my PC details (not that detailed) I have duel screen feture. and i have upgraded my grafics card since i DLed it...

Also, My PC keeps crashing... Even when im not running anything. Its brang-spanking new off the shelf custom made ect. top of the line everything. YET IT CRASHES! every hour or so... and its getting worse.

On top of that my router keeps crashing, requirering a Static restart (unplug all power to everything that connects to my router ) And it aint a cheep router either! £400 or somthin' with a wireless, and a booster. Maby im pushig it a little? na'

any sugestions Midnight?

half-size just means the final video output is going to be half the size of what it would be - it's still perfectly fine for watching fullscreen though with no problems - at least in my case it is anyway and I have a widescreen monitor and have made many fraps movies in CS \ BF2 \ WoW etc.

When you upgraded your drivers did you remove the old ones first ?

but I mean you went to control panel and chose add/remove programs and removed the drivers from there - not just removing the card from device manager ?

you have to remove the drivers (software) not the card unless you're installing a new card completely in which case you do both.

If you have 2 sets of drivers installed for the graphics card it'll probably be causing problems.

I have used fraps in CoD2 and it worked fine for me. and for my shame CSS.

My friend has it working on his duel screen set-up and take pleasure in sending me the ending from games
