E6300 review They get an AMD x3800 up to 3 Ghz & it still gets knackered by the baby Core Duo . Take it from me if your thinking of upgrading your 939 CPU to an X2 when they come down in price you will not get close to 3 Ghz on air unless you are very very lucky or your going down the FX60 or Opteron route & even then you need some good RAM / cooling / Mobo action to get it up there.

Has it not already been said that in real gaming tests there is not much between them? From what I have read it is not worth upgrading your AMD rig to the new Intel toys. Intels new chips are great and get great benchmark scores but in real gaming terms there seems to be not that big a gap.

Yes lads the GPU is the main bottle neck but once you have upgraded then an X2 pilot is going to be 30% down on a Core Duo pilot & 30% is a big difference when your hovering around the 30-60 FPS mark .As I said in an later post the GPU is king until they release multi threaded games .
