Having been out of touch with hardware components for the last 6 months I have no idea what the latest gfx cards are.

Budget of 200-250, less would be better though

Also im getting the Logitech combo G5/G15 mouse and keyboard so any feedback on them would also be appreciated.

Well i bought me a 7800 GTX for £220 (About 3 monthsa go) And it pwns everything i throw at it.. can run oblivion full spec and no slowdown at all.

But i havent looked into cards since the new 7000 range came out!

i dunno if i believe running oblivion with everything max and no slowdown cos the game is pretty badly optimised ben, u go into the forrests with everything on max and u get slowdown unless of course u dont class 20 fps as slowdown. The 7800 is a nice card though.

I havent been playing in tough area's yet though, ive only been prancing about on my horse with virtually no enemies around.
So i dunno what it will be like where there are losts of nasties everywhere!

I think its my version of smooth as well as ive always had a shit PC so thats what i compare it against.

You need to run fraps, i think you are confusing pausing and stuttering with slowdown
The game can be smooth and you still get 20 fps and it feel laggy.

There seems to be a trend recently of badly optimised games that run like shite no matter what pc you have, which tbh aint on
