Well lads the great news is that if like me you live out in the boonies & have trouble getting more than 512kbs DSL the new DSL Max service can deliver 2 - 3 time the bandwidth you're currently getting. Only problem is that for the 1st 10 days while the line is being tested for its maximum stable speed (which can be up to 8Mbs) the mofo cuts out to re profile at random. The good news is that even with the new tech being used (Rate adaptive ADSL with interleaving) my ping is down from 20 ms to 11 ms & if the line does not get me to 1.5 Mbs ( my line king out 63db of attenuation with an SNR of 6 which is very poor ) I will ask to have interleaving turned of drop to 1Mbs & have ping times to die for. ( it cut out on me just now BTW )

20ms ping is to die for spit you ungrateful bastid. Do you not remember the 250ms pings when you first started CS? Ask Malis he was the original HPB

I used to play CS on ISDN which TBH was fine with 100ms ping . I remember going over to cable & just killing all that stood in my way for a few days untill I adapted to the lower pings

I played AVP on 56k now that was HP heven. I could not play the alien as it was to fast for my connection. by time it caught up i was 1/2 way across the map.
