For my final dissertation I've found some very nice texts on BBC.co.uk for use in class with some nice activities. Problem is how do I save the files to my pc (not the small ram links) and how do I get to convert them to .wav or .mp3 files?
All help is greatly appreciated.

That's almost certainly a breach of copyright. RAM are streaming media and you can;t download them for a reason. You will need to contact the BBC to ask their permission to be honest.
