rite im still stuck on a agp board no pci:e slot but thing is dont really have the money to upgrade my mobo aswell so would it be cheaper to get a new gfx card AGP or go whole hog and upgrade the mobo and card 2 pci:e??
For the long run i mean

Well depends how much you want to spend really, and also what spec you currently have. You can still get fairly high end AGP graphics cards, just not the top end expensive ones. If your spec is reasonable you could get an 7800GS/GT or X850XT for example. If your current spec is fairly old you may not see the advantage of a new graphics card and you might want to save some money and get a new mobo + cpu + graphics.

You can get mobos with AGP+PCI-E so if you cant splash out all at once and your current GFX are ok for the time. you could get the mobo and use your AGP card until you can get a PCI-E one
