Have any of you lads had harddrive space not restored when you emptied something from the recycle bin, i just lost over 9 gig.

No thats a new one on me, I did not even know you could put 9 gig in the bin.
try resizing it to 0mb (of the lowest it will go) then back.

was 9 gig in files not all in one !
had it on my p4 rig as well.

ive had some space go before... but not 9GB.... i think its a bug in ms where it removes the data and formats the drive incorrectly.... maby a defrag will help? im guessing you'd have a lot of red squares if its formatted the drive space
but i just ignored it when it happened to me because it was like 700mb and not much to worry about..
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

i have tried defragging it with no luck, grrr this is starting to annoy me, i had the same thing happen on my p4 rig as well.
ffs !
