Aye, Celerons are not good CPU's for gaming. Sorry to say, there's your problem.

Hmm yes think you guys are right.
Cause after take the first cpu out (1.7mhz) and put an otherone in the 2.2mhz things are a bit better.
But still a way to slow.

So what to buy now? AMD? Pen.?

As you already have a pentium system, replacing the CPU with a faster model o the same Socket type would seem the obvious way to go.

What socket type do you have? 478, 775?

Indeed, get the best Pentium 4 (Normal one NOT CELERON) you can afford for that socket and fsb.

That or swap your motherboard too and go Athlon 64

Thx for all the help so far guys..
Think its best to rebuiled the pc to an other mbo..
Just for fun I will give it one more go after a format (wiht only BF2 on it) just to be 100% sure its a hardwere problem.

Cause after some e-mails whit EA they think its an softwere problem..
Temp. files suff an so.

For a gaming machine the best peformance at the moment is deffinitley to be had when using an Athlon 64 system, they really are a lot quicker.

That Barton is an Athlon XP, while they are solid CPU's they are not a patch on an Athlon 64 when gaming. The reduced memory latency from the onboard memory controller makes a huge difference.
