as my mum says if it aint broke dont fix it, as there is no worse feeling than when you shaft something and you just know you didnt even need to be fiddling with it anyway.

Most motherboard manufacturers develope Software which allows you to 1) Backup your factory default BIOS
2)Download the latest without evening touching Google or a site search function
3) Updates for you. Although i've never been happy toying with my BIOS whilst anythings running, so to attempt further safety i tend to dump explorer.exe in task manager, close task manager so only the software required is running when it flashes and updates the BIOS.


Anyone who does decide to toy with BIOS, there is one thing which cannot be expressed enough. BACK UP YOUR CURRENT BIOS FIRST!!! Or you may find yourself RMAing/buying a new mobo lol
