Anyone running an Opteron and overclocking it? I'm seriously considering it and am seeing lots of good results around the web.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Don't have one yet... but was seriously consider getting one. Apparently they clock to 3Gig easy. Excellent value for money, plus they have the 1Mb second level cache, where as our winchesters only have 512k.
Let me know if you get one and your progress with it.

Don't bother m8 , when the M2 ( I know they already have another name for it but I cant remember it ) socket comes out all these babies will tumble in price & if your going to upgrade wait till the Opteron 175's come down in price , other wise I seriously doubt you will see any real gain over a Venice even though they are giving away 512k in L2 .

lol m8 the Opterons are already reaching the end of their stock so if anything they'll go up in price
